Where To Go
If you're looking in to your next break away and have chosen to go to Spain you won't be disappointed. Spain continues to be one of the all time favourite destinations for UK holiday makers as well as holiday makers from all over the world due to the fantastic all year round climate, easy and relaxed lifestyle and welcoming people.
The Spanish are big on family and will usually take the time to eat together at least once a week if not more. Many Spaniards live near to their families as they have grown up and lived all their lives in the same town or city.
All Spanish cities cater very well for the tourist industry and as such, even if you don't know any Spanish, you shouldn't find any problem with the language. Areas such as the Costa del Sol are known for big ex-pat communities and will have many English speakers in addition to shops, facilities and amenities that all cater for English speakers.
You will always find that you can find authentic traditional Spanish places wherever you go to. It's fantastic having the chance to explore Spanish villages and towns and some of our favourite places include: Mijas on the Costa del Sol for it's proximity to a vast number of activities for the young ones to do whilst on a summer holiday, Valencia for it's fantastic huge beach, Seville and Granada for the amazing architecture and culture and Barcelona for it's wonderful combination of beach holiday and chilled, funky nightlife.
Costa del Sol
Some of the My Baby Spain team live on the Costa del Sol and so there's a special place in our hearts for this slice of Spain! We regularly Fly with Monarch when popping back to the UK to see the family and can usually get from door to door (Sussex to Mijas) in around 6 hours. Shorter than some trips in the UK!
Incredibly accessible and perfect climate for all year round holidays, the Costa del Sol is a magnet for young families and we even have a Costa del Sol holiday apartment that we let out for holiday rentals.
The Apartment Calahonda
For reservations please contact us via www.theapartmentcalahonda.co.uk or email us on info@theapartmentcalahonda.co.uk.
A wonderful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment with private pool, outside dining area, terrace area and incredibly baby and young family friendly!
Costa Cálida
The Costa Calida is one of the less well known coasts but one of the most unspoilt coasts. Located in the south east corner of Spain where the infamous La Manga strip is.
The highlight of the area which covers the region of Murcia in Spain, is the Mar Menor lagoon - the largest salt water lagoon in Europe and a fab spot for enjoying the water in the relative safety of the lagoon. The depth of the water is quite shallow for quite some distance so you can quite happily let young children splash around in the water, safe from major tides or instant deep water.
We've taken many a holiday in the Murcia area on the Polaris World resorts. Comprising various golf resorts, Polaris World is the perfect solution to many holiday worries. The area is not all high rise like the Costa del Sol, there are enough things for the family to do and the resorts all have high levels of security at the entrances to the resort as well as 24 hour security patrols meaning you have a very safe environment in which to just get on and enjoy your holiday!
