Mother, Baby & Toddler Show Estepona POSTPONED

Hi all,

Just as I was getting excited about the first baby show I will be going to whilst actually being pregnant (13 weeks 5 days now!), I receive an email letting those who have registered to attend that the show is being postponed until next June.

The email suggests that a lack of exhibitors has led to the postponing of the event which is a real shame.

I went to the exhibition last year and there was a healthy turn out and chance to get to know of many local businesses on the Costa del Sol and it is a shame that organiser Lisa Campbell has had to postpone but understandably, without exhibitors, there is no show!

The My Baby Spain team wishes Lisa all the best with the re-organisation of the Mother, Baby & Toddler Show and will have have to wait for the next baby show in Spain we’re going to which is the big Bébés y Mamas in Madrid on the 20th – 21st November! Roll on the baby shopping!

Now I shall go break the news to the proud father-to-be who was so much looking forward to his first ever baby show!

Baby Shows in Spain

Baby shows are a fantastic way to source all you need during your pregnancy and after the birth and offer you an opportunity to blitz some essential shopping for baby products all under one roof.

Depending on the size and location of the baby show you can usually expect top baby brand names exhibiting their products on exhibition stands over the course of anything from 1 to 2+ days.

Not only is there a chance to buy baby products direct during the show, but you can also expect seminars given by professionals in various baby and maternity related fields, the chance to meet a lot of other pregnant mums and also the opportunity to source local businesses of interest to you and your newborn such as local mother and toddler groups, local swim classes or even local baby massage classes.

One of the biggest baby shows in Spain is in Madrid and it is happening this month at IFEMA exhibition halls on the outskirts of the city. Happening across the 20th – 21st November, Bebés & Mamás will have top Spanish baby brands such as Bébécar, Danone and Mi Bebé y Yo in attendance and attracts big crowds year in year out.

Also this month is the Mother, Baby & Toddler Show in Estepona, Costa del Sol on 13th & 14th November.

Decisions at the half way mark!

I’m now 19 weeks pregnant and getting really excited about the 20 week scan next week! I would say I am excited as the first time but not as anxious as the first time round. I find that I get so busy with Cole who is now 11 months and im now back to work P/T that I sometimes forget that I’m pregnant and time simply flies by! When I feel baby no.2 kicking away it is a sure reminder that I am actually pregnant and I need to relax (yeah right!)

My husband has recently told me he doesn’t want to find out the sex of the baby like we did with Cole but I really want to know so I can mentally prepare for a boy or a girl. I would like a little girl now, apparently if one partner doesn’t want to know the sex of the baby then they won’t tell either! I really don’t know if I should push my husband in to it or leave it as a surprise???

We have also been shopping for baby no.2 already and looking as tandem/double buggies…..what a nightmare!! I’ve whittled it down to 4 different ones! 3 are 1 in front of the other and the forth is one under the other (Phil & Ted vibe) problem is with that is I don’t really want my baby in line with all the dust and car fumes we have in London! I’m hoping when the baby show is on at Earls Court in October it will help me decide on the pushchair that is perfect for us and our babies!!
