Do you want a website like www.mybabyspain.com?

The My Baby Spain website was designed, built and owned by SEO Virgin. SEO Virgin is me, Alana Burton and I specialise in building and optimising websites to be Google friendly. The My Baby Spain website has therefore been designed to be found in the search engines by anyone looking for information, advice and tips on having a baby in Spain.

There is a lot to consider when building a website from scratch and much preparation goes into the many different aspects and areas that Google looks at to determine how relevant a website is to a person’s search. My Baby Spain appears in the searches for many of the top keywords and gets a healthy amount of traffic each day as Google deems it to be relevant to a wide range of searches done by those looking for baby related information in Spain.

Even though the website is in its infancy still having only been launched in 2010, My Baby Spain has already grown to be recognised by many businesses in the baby industry and has even already helped other Mums in Spain achieve their goal to set up successful businesses centered around a fully functional website.

SEO Virgin is based on the Costa del Sol and offers a variety of Search Engine Optimisation services in addition to broader general internet marketing including and not limited to; website design and builds, SEO training, Costa del Sol Internet Marketing offering SEO specifically for Costa del Sol based businesses, online PR and brand awareness, Blog development and bespoke SEO Consultancy services.

Mother and Baby Groups Spain

The My Baby Spain team are interested in adding a section for local mother and toddler groups across Spain to the website and would be really interested in hearing from our readers about any recommended groups near to you.

A mother and baby group is the perfect way to get out and meet other mums in the area as well as giving your toddler the chance, integrate and learn from other toddlers. Whether your local mother and baby group consists of just a few local mothers or whether your group has been running for years and has lots of members, if you would like to see your group advertised within our Mother and Toddler Groups Spain page then please get in touch on info@mybabyspain.com or via our Contact page.

Spain drops Baby Cheque

The My Baby Spain team can report that in a desperate bid to reduce spending in Spain, the prime minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero announced yesterday that the baby cheque would be one of the areas cut.

For the past few years, new parents in Spain would receive a €2,500 cheque to give their new family a healthy start in life. It was originally introduced 3 years ago in an attempt to encourage more births in Spain but now appears to be more of a burden on the country’s resources and from 1st January 2011 will no longer be handed out.

With the 3rd largest deficit in Europe – ominously after Greece and Ireland, perhaps drastic measures to save the country from following in the Greek footsteps is no bad thing but it does mean that hundreds of thousands of mothers currently pregnant lose out.

Some may argue that if you cannot afford to have a baby then you shouldn’t have one but if you’re a new parent pregnant with your first child there will always be something that you perhaps haven’t factored into your costs and the baby cheque would provide a more than pleasant relief for a bit of leeway with your baby spending.

We shall be updating our website and page on Baby Healthcare Spain accordingly asap! Get in touch and let us know your thoughts.
