Bleeding - Should I worry?
Some women may experience light spotting or bleeding like a light period when you first become pregnant.
This is caused by the newly implanted egg settling into the womb and is not a major cause for worry.
During the first trimester this type of bleeding is not unusual but if you are bleeding during the second or third trimesters you should consult your doctor as the bleeding may be a signal that there are potential complications.
Bleeding can be a sign of a miscarriage but bleeding does not always mean you will or are going to miscarry.
Some urinary infections may also be accompanied by vaginal bleeding and you should get this checked out by your doctor.
If you are worried at any point about bleeding during your pregnancy, you should always consult your doctor or health professional to put your mind at ease.
